Where To Get A Free Copy Of Your Credit Report!

By MF Calhoun

Do you want to find a free copy my credit report? If you want to get a free copy of your credit report, by federal law. You are entitled to one free copy of your report from each of the three major credit reporting bureaus: Equifax, Experian, and Trans Union. Note however, that along with free copy my credit report provides, you will not get any additional instructions about how to read your credit report, what important information appears there, or how lenders might read your report.

For example, the standard free credit report will not include any of your credit scores. When you go to apply for credit however, lenders will look at your credit score, and most importantly, your FICO score, as well as the credit scores from the other credit bureaus.

While federal law allows you to get a free copy of your credit report, once per year, you are not entitled to get free copies of your credit scores. However, the credit reporting agencies are making available your credit scores and other key information for very reasonable fees today.

When you purchase a credit report, as opposed to getting one for free, you will usually pay a minimal amount. But along with this, you often receive credit score information, plus as an analysis of what on your credit report is resulting in your poor credit score. You can get much good advice about what specific steps to take to improve your credit score. By following the specific steps that are suggested, you can usually see improvement in your credit score in sometimes as little as a few of months.

In addition, purchasing such services is often directly through one of the credit reporting agencies. When you purchase a subscription, you are paying the credit reporting agency for their expert information about what makes a good credit score. For such minimal fees, it’s really worth spending the money to get the additional information about how to improve your credit, along with your credit scores and take steps on your own to get better credit.

So to say you want a free copy my credit report each year, but not to take an extra step and purchase additional services, you are restricting yourself from learning key information to help you improve your credit. You can shop around for a variety of credit reporting features, but generally most of the services offered the same things: free credit reports, free credit scores, and information about how to improve your credit.

When you get a free copy my credit report, along with credit score and other information, you are really taking control of your credit repair.
